Opportunity Ministries

Opportunity Ministries provides supportive transitional housing for men and women recovering from substance use disorder. This is a long term illness that affects a person’s brain and behavior and leads to their inability to control the use of a legal or illegal drug or medication. Our facilities and programs located in Anne Arundel County, Maryland provide supportive housing and help our participants maintain sobriety and learn valuable life skills. The pursuit of a healthy lifestyle, education, counseling and employment are stressed and supported. The need for these types of facilities is great and Opportunity Ministries is proud to have developed these programs to facilitate our participant’s transition back to their families and their community. Each home has a kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, laundry facilities, communal spaces, computers and an area for counseling. All of our houses are supervised, safe, and provide a friendly family setting. Helping people who want to make positive changes in their lives is our primary focus and we consider this a very important pursuit.

Large common areas give participants room to relax and socialize while weekly chore assignments ensure that the houses are neat and tidy.
