Samaritan House Sober Living is transitional recovery housing for adult men in Annapolis, Maryland. Two transitional houses on the 16-acre Samaritan House campus provide temporary housing for up to 20 men who have completed the residential program and are re-establishing themselves in the community. The setting is less structured sober living, built around a healthy peer network and a model of recovery that does not require participation in a treatment program. Residents remain substance-free and observe an 11 p.m. curfew. Campus amenities include a basketball court, picnic tables, a garden, a recreation room, and an outdoor pavilion. The house is located just blocks from the celebrated 36th Street of Baltimore. New Points Hampden is staffed by two managers who reside at the home. They provide guidance and accountability for our residents by ensuring expectations are met and recovery goals are accomplished. The five-bedroom home has 4 bathrooms, a TV room with cable, an open kitchen with a dining area and a beautiful rooftop deck. Like all New Points homes, it has office space equipped with a computer, printer, and wi-fi throughout the house. There is a covered front porch with seating and private parking in the rear of the house. All the basic amenities are included, and all appliances are in excellent working order as the house was recently refurnished in 2020.

Severn Home Sober Living provides structured, gender-specific sober living environments for adults transitioning from residential addiction treatment. Stage One 30 days The first 30 days of residence are dedicated to developing a strong foundation and support group during the early recovery phases. Residents will need to attend four recovery meetings each week and attend all house activities. Residents must also work towards finding a sponsor in their preferred recovery fellowship. Stage Two 30-90 days After the first 30 days, certain restrictions are lifted. You can have one overnight pass every other week. You should have a sponsor and become more active in the recovery community by this point. At this point, if you do not already have a job, then actively searching for employment is next on the agenda. Stage Three 90-150 days Demonstrating that you are an active participant in your recovery and completing the first 90 days at Severn Home, fewer restrictions are put in place. You can have an overnight pass one day a week, the curfew is extended, and you no longer have to sign in and out when leaving the house. Stage Four 150-365 days In stage four, there is no longer a curfew or scheduled time to wake up. By this point, you must have a full-time job unless you are a student. Meeting requirements are lifted, and attending house activities are encouraged but no longer mandatory. Stage Five 365 days + Beyond First & foremost, congratulations on celebrating one year with Severn Home. This is genuinely a tremendous milestone in your recovery. Once you have completed the first 365 days, the rules and requirements, for the most part, are lifted. You have shown you can remain sober and are a trustworthy resident. From this point, the goal is to remain in the house as long as you can and continue to work your steps and lifestyle to maintain sobriety and happiness. We recommend a minimum length of a year's stay. We still highly encourage you to stay involved with house activities and meetings throughout your stay at the Severn Home.

Residents must have a substance use disorder and have a desire to remain abstinent from all mood and mind altering substances. Residents must no longer be in danger of going through withdrawal symptoms (preferably having completed treatment or detox). Residents must agree to attending 12 step meetings, getting a sponsor, using the sponsor, and working the 12 steps. Residents must be willing and able to hold a job for at least 30 hours per week. Residents must submit to drug and alcohol testing at will. Residents may not be on medications with potential for abuse. No violent, sexual, or arson based felony convictions. Residents must commit to identifying goals and working to achieve them. Bel Alton, MD

At The Jude House, we recognize that the path to long-term recovery extends beyond treatment. Our recovery housing programs provide structured, sober living environments that support sustained healing, personal development, and community reintegration. We offer two gender-specific housing options tailored to meet the unique needs of our residents: Andy’s House, a supportive sober home for men located in Waldorf, MD, and The Robins Nest, a nurturing recovery residence for pregnant women or women with children in La Plata, MD. Both homes are MCOR-certified and designed to foster independence, accountability, and connection. Whether helping men reestablish purpose and stability or offering mothers a safe, family-centered space to rebuild their lives, our recovery residences serve as vital bridges from treatment to a thriving future.

Elkton, MD

Voices of Hope operates both a Men’s and a Women’s Recovery House in Elkton, Maryland, which are located within walking distance of one another. We provide structured, wraparound recovery services focused on long-term recovery, holistic wellness, and family reunification. Residents are supported in choosing the recovery path that best fits their needs and work closely with a Peer Recovery Specialist to develop individualized Recovery Plans, set goals, and build healthy, sustainable routines. Trauma Specialists also engage with residents and their support systems to develop reunification and wellness plans that promote long-term success. All recovery houses operate within a structured environment that emphasizes accountability, consistency, and connection to the recovery community. Our homes are certified through MCORR and accept MDRN funding through Cecil County Health Department Care Coordination, with eligible Maryland Medicaid recipients potentially qualifying for extended support. Port Deposit, MD

All Paths has three (4) Sober Living homes in Harford and Cecil counties that offer safe, stable housing to men and women in early recovery. We accept all pathways of recovery including Medical Cannabis and Medication Assisted Treatment. We’re also proud to be the first MCORR certified house in the state of Maryland that accepts medical cannabis. All Paths Sober Living Homes follow MCORR standards, based on the National Alliance of Recovery Residences. Applicants who utilize Medical Cannabis must have an active Maryland Medical Cannabis card, current doctor, and current prescription to be accepted into All Paths Sober Living. All Paths is excited to announce that we opened our first Women’s All Paths Sober Living Home in Elkton, MD in April 2025 following the same model as our 3 Men’s Sober Living Homes!
